The Center is pleased to announce three LGBTQ Career Fairs will be held in 2017 — on March 6, July 10 and November 6 — right here in our Robert L. Forbuss Building in downtown Las Vegas. Present on those days will be numerous local corporations and small businesses eager to share information about their companies and available open positions. Those who will have a table present at the Fair have demonstrated ongoing support of our human rights and will provide a welcoming, equal workplace for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer employees.
NEXT CAREER FAIR:
July 10 • 11AM–2PM
401 S. MARYLAND PKWY.
LAS VEGAS, NV 89101
The following have signed up for an employment and information table:
WHAT DOES IT COST TO ATTEND?
The LGBTQ Career Fair is completely free for the public to attend. If you are currently seeking a new job or are considering a career change, or if you simply wish to know more about some of the most LGBTQ-welcoming companies in our city, we urge you to not miss these opportunities.
HOW DO I PREPARE FOR THE CAREER FAIR?
If you are seeking employment, we strongly recommend updating your current resume and making at least a dozen copies to bring with you on the day of the career fair. Come dressed to impress — you'll be meeting with hiring decision-makers from some of Las Vegas' top employers.
If your corporation, small business or nonprofit organization is currently hiring and has a demonstrable support of the LGBTQ community (such as by offering domestic partner benefits, sponsoring a local LGBTQ organization, being owned by an LGBTQ person or scoring highly on HRC's Corporate Equality Index), we invite you to take part in our LGBTQ Career Fair on March 6, 2017 at The Center.
For just $50, your company may use an six-foot table and two chairs in The Center's Event Hall to display information about career opportunities and answer questions from interested candidates. Additional tables will be available first-come, first-served for any interviews you wish to conduct on location.
Please supply your own tablecloth and bring any promotional materials you feel necessary to display on the table. No banners or posters may be hung on the wall, but you may bring a pull-up banner or signage on an easel to put alongside your table if space permits.
